Summer

I hate summer.

I hate the heat.

I hate my allergies and my itchy ears.

I hate that my nose is always blocked because it’s so hot.

I hate the heat rashes I get on my hands that itch all the time.

I hate the people who keep closing the AC at work because they’re “cold” when its f***ing 40 degrees Celsius outside. Bring a jacket to work with you!

I hate all the insects especially the ants that won’t go away no matter what you try to poison them with.

I hate the visitors from the gulf who spend summer in Jordan and act like they own the streets with their huge cars causing accidents and traffic jams everywhere.

I hate that summer in Jordan lasts 7 months.

I just really really hate summer!

Oh winter, where art thou?

 

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 30 – A picture of someone you miss

Woohoo I kept up with this for 30 days!! Now on to my final post in this challenge.

The people I miss the most are both my nephews Fede, and Bude, and my Niece Fia…but truth be told I miss Hamoude most of all, I miss the way he used hold me hostage in my bedroom last year when I was visiting and force me to watch Loony Tunes with him (he was 2 and half then), and how he used to keep watching this one episode of Thomas the Tank Engine over and over calling it Yi -Ikes (Yikes), sometimes he’d force me to watch it with him.

 

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 29 – A picture that can always make you smile

This picture always puts a smile on my face, it’s my nephew Hamoudeh on my first outing with my brother and his family in Australia last year. We went to Bicentennial Park in Sydney for a picnic, he took a cucumber, held it up, and said “Look, kangaroo!” then took a bite.

Now you’re probably wondering what he thinks a kangaroo is when he sees one… “DINOSAUR!”

 

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 28 – A picture of something you’re afraid of

Apart from spiders and other creepy crawlies, I’m afraid of heights, if I do go up somewhere high I will keep my eyes closed until I get down. I bravely got onto the ride in the picture below and kept my eyes closed the whole time.

I did however use my camera wisely so that I could enjoy the view from the comfort of my bed…on the ground.

Another time in 2008 I climbed all the way to the top of the amphitheater and never realized I was going “up” until I looked down…and freaked out…and then took a picture so I could enjoy the view later on.
