30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 30 – A picture of someone you miss

Woohoo I kept up with this for 30 days!! Now on to my final post in this challenge.

The people I miss the most are both my nephews Fede, and Bude, and my Niece Fia…but truth be told I miss Hamoude most of all, I miss the way he used hold me hostage in my bedroom last year when I was visiting and force me to watch Loony Tunes with him (he was 2 and half then), and how he used to keep watching this one episode of Thomas the Tank Engine over and over calling it Yi -Ikes (Yikes), sometimes he’d force me to watch it with him.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 29 – A picture that can always make you smile

This picture always puts a smile on my face, it’s my nephew Hamoudeh on my first outing with my brother and his family in Australia last year. We went to Bicentennial Park in Sydney for a picnic, he took a cucumber, held it up, and said “Look, kangaroo!” then took a bite.

kangaroo!

Now you’re probably wondering what he thinks a kangaroo is when he sees one… “DINOSAUR!”

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 28 – A picture of something you’re afraid of

Apart from spiders and other creepy crawlies, I’m afraid of heights, if I do go up somewhere high I will keep my eyes closed until I get down. I bravely got onto the ride in the picture below and kept my eyes closed the whole time.

heights

I did however use my camera wisely so that I could enjoy the view from the comfort of my bed…on the ground.

yikes

Another time in 2008 I climbed all the way to the top of the amphitheater and never realized I was going “up” until I looked down…and freaked out…and then took a picture so I could enjoy the view later on.

ahhhh!

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 25 – A picture of your day

Naturally it would have to be where I spend every single week day, since the alternative for the weekend would be another picture of my bedroom:

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 24 – A picture of something you wish you could change

I would say I’d like to change the way I look, be thinner, I still need to loose another 8 kilos and I’ve been stuck on the same weight for 2 years now, but I guess everyone wants to change THAT.

I think that one thing I would love to change are the idiots of the world…get rid of them maybe…or just banish them to a desert island..or just hope that I never have to interact with a true idiot…good luck with that especially since I live in a country full of them.

There are days I feel like:

idiots

But always remember:

idiots

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 23 – A picture of your favorite book

How does one classify a favorite book? Is it one they’ve read over and over again, or is it one they couldn’t put down until they finished reading the whole thing, or maybe it’s just a book they enjoyed reading from start to finish..

I’ve read so many books over the years and to tell the truth I’m finding it hard to choose which one is my favorite, so maybe I’ll stick to the first book I fell in love with:

The Thorn Birds

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 22 – A picture of something you wish you were better at

Being more social in real life and not just online. I suck at making friends in real life, I’m also shy, I like to avoid any kind of conflict, and would rather spend time on my own.

The thing I hate the most is to be let down..even politely, if I’m told “no, I’m too busy” or any other excuse enough times by someone I just give up and stop asking or inviting them to hang out with me and just go out on my own wherever I want.

It has me thinking that maybe it’s not that they’re too busy, maybe they just don’t want to hang out with me, especially when their first answer was yes then 15 mins later they tell you they can’t hang out anymore for whatever reason, or when they miraculously find time to hang out with other people without any excuses.

I’m one of those people who tries their best to make time for friends, when a friend comes into town for a few weeks, I make sure I have enough extra hours at work so that I can get away early or come in late because I know they’ll want to hang out, go out for breakfast in the mornings, or just go out a for coffee all on short notice.

And you know what..it’s not as bad or as boring as you think it is when you just go out and have breakfast at Bakehouse or have a coffee at Second Cup alone.

I love my online friends!

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 21 – A picture of something you wish you could forget

Ever since watching the miniseries IT and then reading the Stephen King novel which was so much scarier than the series itself, clowns just creep me out. Sometimes I long for the days where clowns made me laugh and smile, where they didn’t say, “Do you want a balloon, they float.”

Do you want a balloon

So do you want a balloon?
